Is SEO Dead

With the recent Google updates, many website has been hit very hard. The pages have been dropped in the Google search result. Many people say SEO is dead now. However, I think there's still hope. As a matter of fact, the algorithm change of Google is just an indication that Google is now favoring different sites, for example, those with social network engagement and unique contents. Sites need to be active in order to rank well. For example, site that catching up with internet memes, sites that updates very often still ranks very well. In order for a site to stay healthy, webmasters need to work very hard. If you have been hit, there's still hope that you can recover.
